This information is provided by Global Data Support. We take very seriously the privacy of our research subjects and the security of their Personal Information.

Global Data Support is dedicated to conducting and mediating in global research for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to set out the principles governing our use of personal information that we may obtain about any individual. By using working with us, or by working through third parties for the services that we provide, all individuals must opt-in to our data privacy policies. This Privacy Policy is country dependent and includes all the required information as directed by the data controllers. Any dispute which may arise over privacy will be subject to each local Privacy Policy and the data protection note used for collecting, manipulating or processing any personal information.

Global Data Support will only collect personal Information including without limitation, names, workplaces or market research and physician profiling results, when it is voluntarily submitted to us with opt-in consent. Global Data Support and the companies we hire will use this Personal Information to comply with any request for information or as otherwise disclosed when personal Information is submitted. The data we collect may be stored in the EU, US or other countries in a safe cloud environment and can be viewed, accessed and amended or removed at any time.

From time to time, we may refer to the disclosed Personal Information to better understand individual person’s needs and how we can improve any services towards them. The disclosed Personal Information may be used to contact the individual in the way(s) described in the opt-in consent form. We will not otherwise transfer the Personal Information to any third party unless otherwise disclosed to you, except in the case of legal or technical operations as described herein, or as allowed in the Council for American Survey Research Organizations code of standards- www.casro.org.


Patient or individual’s medical Information

Global Data Support does not collect and/or handle any patient information or information that may lead to the identification of an individual patient. Medical dossiers in any form are also not accepted and/or processed by Global Data Support.


Non-Personal Information and use

We may automatically collect non-Personal Information about individuals such as publicly accessible information like specialty, name, workplace, areas of interest, publications and other publicly accessible information relevant to the subject’s profession. No personal information such as individual’s non-professional interests, hobbies, etc. will be kept without written permission. From time to time, we may refer to the disclosed Personal Information to better understand subject’s needs and how we can improve our services. We may use the disclosed Personal Information to contact the individual through the publicly obtained contact information. We will not otherwise transfer the Personal Information provided to us to any third party unless otherwise disclosed to the individual.


Information Use and Sharing

This section describes how personal data – which includes web use, app use, demographic information, survey responses and information we have obtained from third parties – contributes to the kinds of services our clients buy from us. n this Policy.

The specific circumstances when we may disclose Personal Information to third parties are as follows:

  • The individual affirmatively gives consent to sharing Personal Information and/or individual responses with the third parties for a specified purpose;
  • To affiliated companies or non-affiliated service providers for processing purposes, including without limitation data processing or incentive fulfilment;
  • In order to protect the safety of a Respondent(s) or any other individual(s), or to protect Global Data Support’s rights and/or property; or
  • In the specific circumstance that Personal Information is required to be shared or disclosed pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants, orders or pursuant to similar and other legal or regulatory requirements. In the case of legal process, we will narrowly disclose only to the extent absolutely required for compliance.
  • Targeted Surveys - We may send Healthcare Practitioners (HCP’s) invitations to participate in surveys on the basis on behaviours collected by us through previous studies. For example, if an HCP is interested in therapy X, we may send a survey.

Security of Personal Information

We have implemented commercially reasonable measures and technologies and policies with the objective of protecting Personal Information from unauthorized access and improper use and will update these measures as appropriate as new technologies become available.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we use commercially acceptable means to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.


Accuracy of Personal Information

Global Data Support makes reasonable efforts to keep Personal Information in its possession or control, which is used on an ongoing basis, accurate, complete, current and relevant, based on the most recent information available to us.

It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure that the Personal Information relating to them accurate, complete and current.

Global Data Support is entitled to attempt to confirm that information with a professional or similar credentialing agency or investigative service. All Global will use the results of such verification only for purposes of confirming the accuracy and completeness of the information provided to us. We will not disclose those results to any third party unless compelled by law.


Access to Personal Information

To request access to Personal Information that we hold about an individual, we require that the individual submits a request in writing by e-mail address or postal address shown below (in How to reach us). The individual is able to access their Personal Information and correct, amend or delete it where it is inaccurate, except as follows:

  • The burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual’s privacy in the case in question;
  • Providing access to the Personal Information would be likely to reveal Personal Information about others;

We will endeavour to provide the requested Personal Information within 30 days of receiving the access request. If we cannot fulfil the request, we will provide a written explanation of why we had to deny the access request.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Global Data Support will amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes in the way we use Personal Information we will make that information available by posting a notice on our website.
